Facial Plasty

Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty (BLEF-uh-roe-plas-tee) is a surgery that repairs tired eyelids. As you age, the skin and muscles of your eyelids stretch, and the muscles supporting them weaken. In addition, excess fat may collect above and below the eyelids, causing sagging eyebrows and bags under the eyes.

Blepharoplasty eliminates the aging look and make your eyes appear younger and more alert. This surgery does give you a fresh look.

There are also many other surgical and non-surgical procedures that can rejuvenate the eyes, and in turn the face.

Mid-facelift

A mid-facelift, sometimes called a cheek lift, is a cosmetic procedure that tightens the skin between the upper mouth and the eye. A mid-facelift can give the face a more youthful-looking appearance and makes the area under the eye appear less sunken.

The improvements in the cheek area does make a lot of indirect difference to the eyes and the mouth.

Face-lift

A face-lift (rhytidectomy) is a cosmetic surgical procedure. This helps one look younger. This procedure reduces the sagging or folds of skin on the cheeks and jawline, and other changes in the shape of your face that occur with age.

The face itself is divided into 3 parts. The Upper, Middle and Lower thirds. During a face-lift, each of these divisions need specific attention and treatment. The skin of the face along with the underlying muscle are tightened to give a youthful look. Comprehensive face lift or facial rejuvenation involves the tightening procedure and significant amount of fat fills to augment the lost fat and bring in an youthful and fresh look.

Neck lift

The neck itself shows signs of aging by the sagging of the skin in the upper neck which is commonly referred to as the ‘Turkey Goblet‘. This is a result of the loss of fat in the neck and aged skin. The neck can be rejuvenated by tightening the skin and removing the droopy fat. It involves making a small cut, which is invisible, under the chin and stitching the muscles together. Non-surgical methods are available that can define the jaw line and improve the neck–jaw angle.

Aesthetic Ear surgery

The most common surgery of the ear in India would be the repair of the ear lobe. Ear studs or jewellery are commonly used by women in India. The hole can be torn or become larger as a result of injury or due to weight of the ear ornament. There are many methods used to repair the ear lobule. While most enquiries are for suture-less repair, I impress upon my clients that the best results are obtained by careful and meticulous sutures.

The next common surgery would be the correction of ‘Prominent Ear’. Children often present with elephant-like protruding ears. They can be helped with a procedure that involves a cut behind the ear and suturing the cartilage to the back of the head.
